Kally is ONE- Who can believe it!

I can't believe how much our life has changed in the last year. Too many mothers have told us how fast it would go, and I couldn't even imagine. Kally has brought more joy, laughter and tears to our life. We didn't know we could love so much!

With that, I hope to post pictures from her 1st B-day soon.

Kally is almost a YEAR old!

Kally is almost a year old (under a week) and I can't believe how much our life has changed in the past year. We an amazing gift she is.  It is hard to remember what life was like before her.  We know we slept more, our house was cleaner and our yard was nicer...but we wouldn't trade this last year for anything (not even more sleep).

Kally started walking at the end of October (few steps here and there), but really took off on her own on Thanksgiving.  She is starting to become a bit of a stinker...when she is told "No" she smiles and does it anyways!  She is starting to test us already.  Good thing she is so cute!

Can't wait until we post her 1st Birthday photos!

Been Awhile- Kally is growing Fast

It has been awhile since we have blogged. Of course since, we last talked, Kally is really on the move. She is crawling, cruising and taking about 5-10 steps on her own. She is at a great age! She laughs all of the time, wakes up in the morning dancing and clapping! We also taught her how to do "touchdown". We are working on learning body parts and language development. She says, "Uh-oh", "Doggie", "This" and "Mama". Of course we know what she is saying, but others might struggle. She LOVES our dogs and Louie the cat. She is always after one of them to play with her. She has been going to story time at the Library on Wednesdays and to YMCA for about an hour to play with other toddlers. She also goes to a play group once a week in the evening, which she loves. She is climbing on everything (toy box, stairs, gates and etc).

She is the love of our life and we are enjoying watching her grow and learn. She loves to make us laugh and we are so thankful for her!

July and August 2009

Kally had a number of firsts the last two months!  She started crawling on August 4th and we haven't sat down since.  She loves to chase the animals, pull herself up, and dump the dogs water bowl.  A baby on the move is never dull!  She is talking more.  We are working on "Hi" and "Bye" and "Mama".  She smiles and laughs all of the time and makes a lot of funny faces.  She can give us "five" and loves to hear us cheer for her.  We have also discovered she doesn't like to eat breakfast and enjoys the food in hands and hair more than her mouth.  Kally also gives the best hugs!

Kally has a busy June!

We have had a busy month and Kally is growing up quickly. In June, Kally has gone swimming at Grammy's, starting eating Sweet potatoes, apples, oatmeal and green beans. She also wants to crawl, but not quite there yet. On our trip to Vermont, she learned to sit up on her own! This milestone seems huge. She is now using her highchair, jumping in her "jump and go", playing with additonal toys and laughing everytime she sees herself in the mirror. She has not been a good sleeper but with a little more work, we hope to report better news in July!

Kally is 5 months!

Kally is 5 months old! She changes everyday and we love watching her grow. She has discovered her feet and loves to grab them and chew on them. She laughs, smiles and develops new expressions... She has also discovered the animals and loves to watch them. She has started to reach for them as well...which will make the upcoming months even more fun! She is thinking about crawling, but we are focusing on sitting up right now. So far she has had rice cereal and bananas. Neither one seems to set well with her stomach. She has decided to stop sleeping through the night and we are back on a newborn sleep schedule. Oh well, she is only 5 months once..
